TIKA TRAVEL is a receptive travel agency regulated by the Colombian Law.
TIKA TRAVEL is a travel agency that provides bilingual Tour Leaders and coordinates ground transportation, lodging, food or any other service previously hired to a third travel agent and/or tourist enterprise.
After receiving the price details and/or booking confirmation via email from Tika Travel, the customer accepts the terms and conditions and pays the amount of the tour to secure the booking. Payments can be done by bank transfer, online payments or other proposed methods stated in the Booking Confirmation Email. The customer is responsible for paying any extra charge if applicable (from bank transfer or others).
Note: The prices are subject to change due to adjustments in exchange rates.
PERSONAL DOCUMENTS (ID)
Foreign customers agree to provide a copy of passport with the biographical information and a copy of the entry stamp to Colombia. This will ensure a free VAT tax for foreigners. Colombian citizens will be charged VAT but will still need to provide a copy of passport with biographical information.
One Day Tours: “No Show” or cancellation of tours of one (1) day will be charged 50 % of the quoted price if Tika Travel is notified at least five (5) days before the event (120 hours prior the departure time of the tour). If the customer notifies Tika Travel about a cancellation less than four (4) days before the event, there will be no refunds and the customer will be charged the total amount of the tour. All cancellations must be sent via email.
Tours of less than three (3) days: cancellation of tours of less than three (3) days will be charged 50 % of the quoted price if Tika Travel is notified at least fifteen (15) days before the day of the event. If the customer notifies Tika Travel about a cancellation between fourteen (14) days and five (5) days before the event, the customer will be charged 70% of the quoted price. If the customer notifies Tika Travel about cancellation less than four (4) days before the event (96 hours prior the departure time of the tour), there will be no refunds and the customer will be charged the total amount of the tour. All cancellations must be sent via email.
Note: There may be unforeseen penalties depending on the cancellation policies of our service providers.
Force Majeure: TIKA TRAVEL is not responsible for cancellations of ongoing services for the following causes: war, strikes, terrorist attacks, robberies, epidemics, quarantine, extreme weather conditions or any other circumstance which goes beyond the company’s control (force majeure, accidents or acts of others). Tika Travel has no obligation in reimbursing the customer if one of these circumstances mentioned above (force majeure) are happening.
Should TIKA TRAVEL cancel the provision of any service without justification, an equal or better product must be offered.
In order to book the tour with Tika Travel, each customer has to accept these Terms and Conditions.
TIKA TRAVEL can change any individual plan and hotel reservations for something equal or better to maintain the customer’s safety or for any reason determined by the company.
WEB CONTENT & PROPERTY
The TIKA TRAVEL website and its contents (texts, logos and images) are an exclusive property of TIKA TRAVEL. By using the website you are not violating any laws.
TIKA TRAVEL is an intermediary of the operators, hotel owners, transport companies, tourist attractions and other service providers. Claims and demands to third parties are made directly with them. However, TIKA TRAVEL can also provide transport, food, support or other services to its customers directly (in accordance with customers).
Ecological, Sustainable & Social Responsibility: In accordance with Colombian Law number 1608 from 1978, TIKA TRAVEL rejects illegal and unsustainable wildlife trade. Likewise, in accordance with Colombian Law number 1336 from 2009, TIKA TRAVEL supports the conservancy of cultural attractions and social patrimony of touristic destinations
Against child pornography and sexual tourism: In accordance with Colombian law number 679 from 2001 issued by the Congress of the Republic, which, enacting provisions relating to the prevention and countering of child exploitation, pornography, and sex tourism. In accordance with this law, everyone should prevent, block, combat and denounced the exploitation, hosting, usage, publication, distribution of images, text documents and visual files, misuse of the global information network or establishment of links of any kind to pornographic materials or materials related to sexual activities with minors. Sexual exploitation and sexual abuse of minors are punishable by imprisonment in accordance with the provisions of law number 679/2001.
TIKA TRAVEL is committed to fighting against sexual tourism in all its forms.
These terms apply to any person who uses or administrates the website and/or makes bookings for any services provided by TIKA TRAVEL, Travel Agency, through Internet
RESPONSIBILITY OF THE TRAVELER
The client has to verify that he has all the necessary and valid documents to enter the territory and travel within Colombia (passport, visa, vaccines, etc.).
During the tours, the client is responsible for his personal belongings. TIKA TRAVEL cannot, under any circumstances, be held responsible for the damage or loss of the client’s personal belongings. They are under the responsibility of the client.
JURISDICTION IN CASE OF LITIGATION
In the event of a dispute, a friendly settlement will be proposed first. In case it fails, only the Colombian courts will be competent.
